“I will work on your behalf to make sure your concerns are heard at council”
Why vote
for Faye?
Faye Ego, a founding member and President of the Wasaga Beach Ratepayers Association, Inc., made the decision to take a leave of absence and run for office in 2022. She has worked tirelessly over the past four years to speak up to a council that just doesn’t want to listen to taxpayers.
Now it’s time to vote Faye for councillor. She will bring the voice of the people back to the decision making process. It’s time to vote for someone who asks what you want; not someone who ignores you then gives you what they want.

Values
“Over the past 18 years I have grown to love Wasaga Beach and its people. During this campaign, I look forward to being out and about and engaging with more people than I already know! From a young age, I was taught that “actions speak louder than words”. That is now part of my DNA.
I am not a person who likes to stand still. I strive to make a positive difference!
There is never a time to focus on negativity or engage in bullying or nastiness. I believe I have shown that in my leadership with the Wasaga Beach Ratepayers Association, and through the people I associate and work with.
Let’s give a clean campaign a chance!”

In The News
Faye has led the community in demanding responsible spending by council, public input on the beachfront development, and providing solid statistical proof of what taxpayers really want.

Hit Pause Now!
The Wasaga Beach Ratepayers’ Association, through its president Faye Ego, implored council at its Nov. 24 meeting to hold off starting construction until 2022.
The association’s petition, signed by 1,145 people, stated the time would provide an opportunity to assess the impact of the pandemic.
Beachfront Development
Protect Our Beachfront
Wasaga Beach Ratepayers Association (WBRA) president Faye Ego said one of the reasons behind the creation of her group was “to protect our taxpayer-owned beachfront lands.”
WBRA is concerned the town did not survey the public prior to launching the process to seek a new development partner, or ask for public input prior to selecting Slate.
“The council has held only one online survey during this term, and that was to see if residents wanted to raise chickens in their backyards,” she said. “Our beachfront is a far greater priority.”
Public Input Poll
Poll Backs Survey
A research firm’s poll shows the majority of Wasaga Beach residents want to see a public meeting ahead of any moves by the town to sell its beachfront properties.
Mainstreet Research found 72% of residents considered it very important, or somewhat important, that council hold public meetings before it sold its commercially-zoned properties at Beach Area One.
The poll, conducted on behalf of the Wasaga Beach Ratepayers’ Association and the Wasaga Business Association, surveyed 402 adult respondents at random and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9%. It was conducted by phone from April 22 to 25.
